Currencies

Currencies control how money is displayed across the panel: on plans, on invoices and on the top-up form. Account credit is stored as an integer in cents; each currency record defines how that credit is converted and shown to customers. You can keep several currencies enabled at once, and each customer picks their preferred display currency.

In the admin panel go to Billing > Billing settings and open the Currency tab. Currencies live in the Currencies card on that tab, not on a page of their own.

The table lists each currency with its Code, Prefix, Suffix, Rate (value), Default and Enabled state.

Billing settings page

The Currencies card has an Add a currency band below the table (no dialog to open). Fill in the fields and click Add a currency:

Fields

Field What to enter Example
Code The ISO code. Required. USD
Prefix A symbol shown before amounts. $
Suffix A symbol shown after amounts. INR
Currency Value (rate) The exchange-rate value used to convert between currencies on the platform. 1.0
Default Whether new customers and prices default to this currency. off
Enabled Whether customers can pick this currency. on

The new row appears in the table immediately. The first currency you add becomes the platform default. Turning Default on for another currency promotes it.

Click the pencil icon on a currency’s row to open the Edit Currency dialog and change its code, symbols, rate or flags, then click Update Currency. Click the trash icon to delete it (confirm with Delete).

A plan’s price is stored once, as a credit value. The currency’s rate converts that value into the amount shown to a customer who selected that currency. If USD has rate 1.0 and INR has rate 83, a plan quoted at 10 USD displays as about 830 INR.

The Show prefix and Show suffix switches in the Billing & Currency Display card above the table decide which symbol position is rendered. Enable only one of the two per currency to avoid a display like RS.100 INR.

The new currency is immediately available everywhere prices show up: the order form, invoices and the customer’s billing area. Customers pick their display currency in their account; the Default Currency for a customer can also be set on their user page under Customers > Users, on the Cloud Service tab. See Manage users.

  • Prices show a double symbol. Both Show prefix and Show suffix are on. Enable only one under Billing > Billing settings, Currency tab.
  • A converted price looks wrong. Check the currency’s Currency Value (rate); it is the only conversion input the panel uses.
  • A customer cannot pick a currency. It is not Enabled. Toggle it on in the Currencies card.
